After the complete extinction of the rhinos in Uganda in 1983 Rhino Fund Uganda was formed as a non-governmental organisation (NGO) in 1997. Located in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the 7 000 hectares of savannah and woodlands has provided Rhino Fund Uganda with land for the rhinos.
I can't imagine another place in the world were you can get so close to "wild" rhinos. For us it was an amazing experience.
